What is an LXP?

A Learning Experience Platform is a learner-centric system designed to deliver personalized, engaging learning experiences. The Praxis LXP, as described in the navigation guide, focuses on creating an adaptive learning journey where students can:
  • Access curated learning paths organized in tracks and lessons
  • Engage with diverse resource types (videos, quizzes, virtual labs, activities)
  • Track their own progress and performance against peers
  • Earn badges and credentials for completed work
  • Integrate with tools like WordPress, GitLab, and Discord for collaborative learning
  • Receive AI-powered content curation through assistants like Pria
The platform emphasizes the learner’s experience, offering features like leaderboards, personalized content recommendations, and flexible navigation through learning materials.

Portal

The ‘Portal’ is the student’s homepage in the LXP. You can open the Portal navigation menu on the lefthand side of the LXP. Lxp Portal Main

Portal Navigation Menu

When you open the portal navigation menu, you will find: Lxp Portal Menu
  • My Classes - A list of all your training programs, including your training schedule
  • My Content - A website made just for you where you can publish content using WordPress
  • GitLab - Use this tool as a code repository and track changes to your files
  • Leaderboard - Review your current position compared to other learners
  • Messages - Contains information posted by the system or your mentors
  • AI Powered Curation - Find additional learning material curated by an AI Engine
  • Progress - Displays current resource completion status, points earned, etc.
  • Performance - Displays a summary report of your progress compared to others
  • Assessments - Display grades posted as assessments by your mentors or instructors
  • Badges - Displays badges earned throughout your learning journey
  • Profiles - Change which profile is currently active (only available if you have 2 or more registered profiles)

My Classes

My Classes is the first screen of your learning portal. It contains all the classes you are currently enrolled in. Classes Main

Class Card Information

Each class may display different content: Classes Card
  • Start and end date - When the class is expired, you can no longer access the learning material
  • Badge - A badge may be awarded upon completing the class and will be displayed in the card
  • Progress indicator - Displays the number of skills completed in the class so that you can track progress and completion
  • Class Context Menu - Each class has a context menu that allows you to archive or restore the class, making it hidden or visible on this screen.
Drag and drop each class to place them in the order of your choice by using the marker at the bottom right of the class card.
Click on a class card to access the learning content.

Learning Path

Select a class in the portal to start the ‘Learning’. This is where you can access all of the learning paths and lessons of your training program. Lxp Classes Journey

Top Bar

The top bar displays the name of your class and offers options to access tools that have been enabled for this class, such as WordPress and GitLab.

Tracks

The learning paths are organized—grouped and sequenced—in tracks. Complete all of the lessons in the tracks to complete the class. Lxp Classes Journey Track The track displays the following information:
  1. The track name and overall progress is displayed on the top right corner (ex: 66%) along with a short description
  2. Under the track name, on the left side the aggregate amount of time spent for all lessons in the track is displayed
  3. Under each lesson in the track, the lesson name, last accessed date, and lesson progress ratio (e.g., 75%) are displayed
Click on a lesson to access the learning material and acquire the required skills.

Lesson

The lesson page presents the learning resources and quizzes needed to complete the lesson in a card format. Lxp Classes Journey Lesson

Lesson Page Sections

1. Navigation Header

Allows you to go back to ‘My Classes’, or the lesson ‘Learning’ path. Additionally, you can click on ‘Playlists’ to access the learning resources you have bookmarked or saved for offline use.

2. Lesson Header with Progress

Displays the lesson name, and tools such as Discord, GitLab and WordPress when available for this lesson. To the right, the progress meter indicates your current completion ratio. Complete all required resources to complete the lesson.

3. Learning Plan

The learning plan shows you the skills you will acquire in the class and shows you your progress in acquiring those skills.

4. Resource Cards

These contain the learning material that you will need to complete in order to advance in the course.

Resource Information

The Resource information popup displays:
  • Resource Thumbnail - Represents the content of the resource visually
  • Play Button - Click to start the learning resource
  • Resource Name - Title of the resource
  • Resource Description - A short explanation of the learning objectives
  • Status - Not Started, In Progress or Completed
  • Time on task - Time spent studying compared to expected time
  • Points - Points earned compared to total points available
  • Resource Type - Can be a lesson, video, quiz, virtual lab and other activity
  • Attempts - Number of times you have accessed this learning resource
  • Grade - Overall grade percentage for this resource
  • Rating - Rate the quality of the learning resource from 1 to 5 stars
Use the left and right arrow to select the previous or next resource, and the X to close the resource popup.

Resource Viewer

Once you open the resource, you will be presented with the resource material and the resource viewer above the material. The resource viewer contains the following elements:
  • Left Arrow - Navigate to the previous resource
  • Resource Name - The name of the resource
  • Full Screen - Enter fullscreen mode for enhanced viewing
  • Plug - Reconnects the viewer to the resource content (restart from the beginning)
  • Close - Closes the current resource
  • Right Arrow - Navigate to the next resource
Depending on the type of resource, they may open in a new tab. Don’t worry, you won’t lose your progress. The LXP will ask if you completed the resource when you go back into the lesson.

Tracking Progress

Resource Status

When you’ve completed a resource, the resource will turn green and have ‘COMPLETED’ written on the bottom right corner.

Lesson Status

Once you’ve completed all of the required resources, the lesson will be marked as completed. Additionally, the lesson will show as ‘Completed’ in the corresponding track.

Track Status

To see how you’re progressing in the course, you can check each track progress indicator. As you complete each resource in each lesson, it will reflect in your track progress indicator. The track progress indicator will increase up to 100% when all lessons of this track have been completed.

My Classes Progress

You can check your class progress in the portal under ‘My Classes’. As you progress through the tracks, your progress percentage will increase. The class will show it has been completed when all tracks have been completed.

Progress in the Portal

You can also track your overall progress by going into the portal on the left hand side and selecting ‘Progress’. This is where you will find your progress statistics for each course. This will enable you to keep track of time spent in each lesson. The Progress page displays completion for:
  • Competencies - The main learning objective for each lesson
  • Resources - The learning resources for each lesson

Performance

You can see your overall performance by going into the portal and selecting ‘Performance’. This is where you can track your overall performance across all courses in a given class. You can see a summary of your performance in all resources across all courses, as well as a timeline of your most active and inactive times in the LXP.

Summary Section

The Summary section of the performance page gives you recommendations on your study and compares your results against the global average time on task and point values.

Usage Section

The Usage section of the Performance page graphically displays your platform access times, session durations, and cumulative learning time.

Leaderboard

You can see your performance scores compared to the other learners in your cohort. The learners are ordered by the number of points earned. The page displays the number of Skills (lessons) completed. Use the filters to create leaderboard specific to a Unit, Location, and Account. By default, the leaderboard displays the top 10 performers. You can adjust this number using the corresponding selection list box.

Tools

In the LXP, there are many different tools you may choose to use optionally or may be required to use for a class.

WordPress

WordPress is a tool used to make notes, turn in assignments, and store content.

Accessing WordPress

In the Resource You can locate WordPress lesson directly in the lesson you are working on. The W icon in the top right corner of the lesson redirects you to your WordPress site. In the Portal You can also locate WordPress from the portal under ‘My Content’. Once in WordPress, you can create posts, pages or store photos. In some courses you may be required to create and share content using WordPress.

Discord

Discord is a messaging app that allows you to communicate with your mentor and other students in your cohort.

Accessing Discord

In the Resource You can locate Discord from the icon on the top right corner of your lesson. This is where you will ask questions, share in discussions and turn in WordPress assignments.

GitLab

GitLab is a programming tool used to store and practice coding. The use of GitLab as a tool depends entirely on your class.

Accessing GitLab

In the Resource You can locate GitLab in the top right corner of the resource. In the Portal You can also locate GitLab in the portal on the lefthand side. GitLab is a platform that helps developers manage their code, collaborate on projects, and automate the process of building and deploying software.

Pria

Pria is your digital assistant. Her job is to help you with information, answer your questions, and provide support on a wide range of topics. Think of her as your friendly, knowledgeable guide who is always ready to assist you.
Depending on the class you are in, Pria may look different and be called a different name. Their capabilities are all the same, however, they are specialized in the specific class you use them in.

Accessing Pria

In the Class Pria can be found on the bottom right corner of the class and in each resource. Expand Pria Pria can also be expanded into a separate popup if needed. Just click on Pria in the bottom right corner. Once the discussion opens up, press the page icon in the top right corner. This will open Pria in a separate window, therefore you can easily access your discussion outside of the LXP.

Change Password in LXP

Login to the LXP and open Pria on the bottom right corner of your course. Once Pria opens up, go to ‘My Profile’ on the top right corner.

Update Password

Press ‘Change Password’, and change your password in Wicket & Willow to be the same password as the LXP.

Login to Pria

Navigate to https://hiimpria.ai and login using your username from the LXP and the password you just changed.

Badges

Praxis AI provides digital certificates when the learner has completed a course.

My Classes Badges

In My Classes, you can see which course has been completed and received a badge.
  • Before the badge is completed, the badge icon on the top right of the class will be transparent
  • Once the badge is completed, the badge icon on the top right of the class will be opaque
Upon completing the course and earning the badge, you will receive a popup notification.

Portal Badges

You can find your completed badges in the ‘Portal’ under the Badges section.

AI Curated Content

Once you’ve used Pria, she will generate articles based off of your searches and upload those into a curated library accessible from the portal.

Customization

The Praxis Learning Experience Platform (LXP) offers a wide array of customizable options to enhance your user experience. These options allow you to control the look and feel of the user interface, tailoring it to your personal preferences and needs.

Profile Menu

Select the icon on the top right corner of your browser window to access the profile menu.
  • My Profile - Access your personal data, personalization options, profile picture, and password management features
  • Change Theme - Choose the look and feel of the user Interface
  • Switch Profile - Available if you are registered in multiple products
  • Praxis AI Support - Contact Praxis’s support
  • Logout - Ends your current session

Your Info

From the Profile menu, select My Profile. You can edit your basic profile information.

Profile Data

This section contains the attributes specific to your user profile:
  • Profile Name - The name that will appear in the user interface
  • First and Last Name - For private use and reporting purposes
  • Phone Number - Optional field for support purposes
  • Time-Zone - Select from available timezones
  • Location - Optional field used for reporting (ex: Leaderboard)
  • Unit - Optional field used for reporting (ex: Leaderboard)
  • Account - Optional field used for reporting (ex: Leaderboard)
  • Job Code - Attributed by your system administrator

Preferences

The parameters in ‘Your Preferences’ are used by the user interface to ensure optimal loading time and relevant content:
  • Load Max - Maximum number of records loaded on pages
  • Display Data For - Category of users to display data for
  • Default Navigation - Portal navigation menu expanded or collapsed by default
  • Theme - Current selected look and feel of the User Interface

Password

When accessing the LXP with a direct login, you can update your password in this section. This option is not available for users using the LXP through an integration or Single Sign-on.
  • Current - Enter your current password
  • New - Enter your new password
You can use the “reset” password option to generate a new temporary password that will be sent to your email.

Profile Picture

Your profile picture represents you and is displayed in various sections of the user interface, such as the leaderboard or analytics pages. Take a Picture

Upload Avatar

Click the Upload Avatar picture button, then choose the Take a Picture option.

Grant Camera Access

Grant your browser access to your device’s camera when prompted.

Capture

Click the Take Picture button when ready.

Adjust

Resize and drag your picture to recenter the content.

Finish

Click the Finish button.

Click the Select a Picture button.

Choose File

Use your device picture/file selection, select your new profile picture and click Open.

Crop and Resize

Crop and resize the new image as needed.

Finish

Click Finish.
Save Your New Avatar Picture The image you have taken or selected will appear in the Image Update wizard. Click the Accept button to save your new profile picture.
Remember: Each profile collects your performance for different products, so you can customize each profile with a different avatar picture.

Change Theme

Click on the Change Theme option in the Profile Menu. You will be presented with 5 different theme options. This will change the look and feel of the user interface. Click on the Theme that best fits your preference for the user interface.

Switch Profile

A new profile is created each time you register for a learning product (class). When you have multiple profiles in the LXP, it is practical to switch between them. This allows you to review performance data and access learning content specific to each profile. Click on the Switch Profile option in the Profile menu. Each profile is represented as a card. The active profile is highlighted on the Switch Profile page. Click on a card to select a profile and make it your current profile. Additional options offered:
  • Update my Info - Redirects you to your profile page
  • Change UI Theme - Redirects you to the theme selection page

My Schedule

Click on the My Schedule in the My Classes page to access your course calendars. The calendar is pre-populated with the class schedule (start and end date). Each event is displayed with a bullet that matches the color of the calendar it belongs to.

Intra-Day Events

The current date is highlighted in pink. Click on a cell in the calendar to list all events of that day.

Calendars

By default 2 calendars are created:
  • Yellow calendar - Regroups events for all classes
  • Blue Calendar - Displays any lab related events (when scheduled by your mentor/instructor)

Year / Month / Day View

Use the calendar type selector to display the calendar events in 4 different modalities: Year, Month, Week and Day.

Adding a Calendar

You can add a custom calendar by clicking on the + sign in the Calendars section. Enter a Name and Description for your new calendar, select a color and click Save.

Adding an Event

To add events to a calendar, simply select the Add Event from the calendar context menu or click the + button to the right of the Events section. Add a Title and a short description of your event. Events must have a start and end date. Select the calendar associated to this event. Click Save.

View or Edit Event

To view or edit an event, click on the event in the Event list or directly in the calendar. You can use the pencil to edit, or the trash can icon to delete the event.

Calendar Options

Adjust the display options for the calendar in the Calendar Options section.

LXP as a Mobile App

You can add the LXP as a desktop app on iPhone (since it is mobile responsive) in just about 3 clicks.

Open in Chrome

Open the login screen in your Chrome browser on your iPhone.

Add to Home Screen

Click the share button and select ‘Add to Home Screen’.

Access Your App

The LXP as an app will now be accessible on your home screen. Click on the LXP app and enter your credentials.
