Introduction

Chatting in the Praxis AI app works like the web: you type a message, and your Digital Twin answers using its knowledge, your included files and the conversation so far. This page covers the message bar, the answers, assistants and your conversation list.

The message bar

Type in the field at the bottom (Message (twin name)…). A message can be up to 10,000 characters. The button on the right changes with what you’re doing:
To dictate a message, use the microphone on your phone’s keyboard. To send with the Return key instead of starting a new line, turn on Send with Return in Conversation Preferences.

Add photos, files and assistants

Tap + at the left of the message bar: A photo or file you add this way is uploaded to your personal Files, included in the conversation, and kept with it, so your Digital Twin can use it for this question and the follow-ups. A banner shows the progress (Uploading, Processing, Complete), and the conversation shows 📎 (name) added to Files and included.

Reading the answers

Answers appear as they are written, with formatting: headings, lists, tables, links and images. Some things look simpler than on the web: maths formulas and Mermaid diagrams show as their source text, and code blocks have no copy button. If something goes wrong, for example when you’re out of credits, a red bar explains why. Tap its ⓧ to close it.

Assistants

Assistants are ready-made prompts for a specific task. There are two ways to use one:
  • Switch Assistant: tap the title at the top of the chat. The first row is your Digital Twin (Default), followed by its assistants.
  • + → Assistants: browse the full list, with Search assistants… and a badge for each assistant’s scope (System, Personal, or the Digital Twin’s name).
Picking an assistant starts a new conversation and runs the assistant’s opening message straight away. To create or edit assistants, use the web app.

Conversations

Open the side drawer (☰) to see the current Digital Twin’s conversations. Voice conversations are saved here too, once you end them.

Sharing your location

If your Digital Twin’s admin allows it, you can share your phone’s location for more relevant, location-aware answers. Turn on Location in Conversation Preferences; your phone asks for permission the first time. Turn it off there at any time.
